Koopa - One Off Song for the Summer

Reviewed by Dave on 2nd May 2007

The only unsigned band ever to get into the UK Top 40 is back with their second single, and I still don’t understand why they managed a lofty 31 out of 40 with their first one.

They are already being labelled as the “new Arctic Monkeys” which is appropriate really because they are just as insignificant as the Sheffield based band. With Blink-182 vocals and uninspiring guitar riffs it’s a shame that this isn’t really a ‘One off Song for the Summer’ and that the band will invariably be releasing more half-baked “punk” rock “anthems”.

Stop this now, before it gets out of hand.
