The Magic Numbers aren't the most beautiful band in the world. But they do seem to play quite pretty, summery music. Come December, I can imagine no-one will give two-hoots, but right now in a sweltering Soundcontrol, there's giant mob of sweaty people, creating what can only be called an almost-hoe-down. We need more summery music since the demise of Ooberman, and I'm quite happy for their temporary replacement to be the Magic Numbers.
