Milburn - Showroom

'Showroom', Milburn's debut single (release date 26th september)
is a slightly memorable number. It's got rumbling bass lines and
everything. Yet, as I listen to this promo's second song 'Storm in a teacup' I can't even remember 'Showroom'.
'Storm in a teacup' is a bit Clash, a bit Stranglers and thoroughly lovely. The vocals, guitars and drums are expertly mixed and even the ska-ish rythms are cool. Screw the a-side, I want more of the b-side thing!
This song alone has made me want to go see Milburn when they play with The Artic Monkeys and The Subways across the nation this autumn.
